Where to eat and drink in Koh Samui

We spent a full three days in Koh Samui, riding around the island on a hired scooter, eating all the food and drinking all the cocktails we could get our grubby hands on. Here is our wrap up of where we ate in Koh Samui.

1. Pancake Nutella 50c

Koh Samui is such a beautiful island and so it was no surprise we ate some equally stunning food. Although, most of it wasn’t as gourmet as you might be thinking. Our fave and most frequented spot being the very affordable and very convenient pancake cart parked on the main street outside our hotel Evergreen Resort in Chaweng. Not entirely sure that ‘Pancake Nutella 50c’ is the actual name, but it’s the sign above where the very friendly lady did her work, making damn good pancakes. We loved the 50 baht price tag too! I can’t promise this will be in the same location when you visit, but keep your eyes peeled.

2. Bar Baguette

We first ate at the Chaweng branch of this café, before realising there was a second location up the island in Bophut, so we tried that one too. The pictures pretty much tell you all you need to know.

3. Marzano Pizzeria

It’s probably not standard to find the type of pizza you enjoy in Italy on the beach in Thailand. Malibu Resort’s restaurant Marzano Pizzeria offers a beautiful location looking straight out on the beach, with delicious pizza. We recommend you stop by for dinner.

4. Bikini Bar BQ Restaurant

So, we’re not the kind that would usually eat or even frequent a place called ‘Bikini Bar’, but we’d actually seen a billboard as we were cruising around the island that had a special going that was too hard to resist, plus jerk chicken gets me every time. If you’re into meat, reggae vibes and good beach views, this place has your name on it.

5. Potato Beach Club, Lamai Beach

This place was pretty quiet when we visited late afternoon in the shoulder season, but that’s fine with us. We took a spot on a beach lounger out the front and set about ordering cocktails. If you’re looking for a place for a drink on Lamai Beach, why not check this place out like we did.
